Infertility means not being able to get pregnant after one year of trying .

Infertility results from female factors about one-third of the time and male factors about one-third of the time. The cause is either unknown or a combination of male and female factors in the remaining cases.

Female infertility causes can be difficult to diagnose. There are many available treatments, which will depend on the cause of infertility. Many infertile couples will go on to conceive a child without treatment. After trying to get pregnant for two years, about 95 percent of couples successfully conceive.

Causes of female infertility

Female infertility can be caused by:

  • ovulation problems
  • poly-cystic ovary syndrome
  • problems with the Fallopian tubes
  • problems with the uterus
  • endometriosis.

Ovulation problems causing female infertility

The menstrual cycle functions by several glands and their hormones working in harmony. For ovulation to occur, a part of the brain called the hypothalamus prompts the nearby pituitary gland to secrete hormones that trigger the ovaries to ripen eggs. Irregular or absent periods indicate that ovulation may be irregular or absent too.

The age of the woman is a significant fertility factor. The chance of pregnancy for a woman aged 40 years and over is only five per cent per menstrual cycle. Ageing eggs are thought to be the cause.

A woman is born with her entire egg supply and, as time passes, these eggs become less viable. Other difficulties for the older woman include increased risk of miscarriage and genetic abnormalities in the unborn baby.

For Women who are finding it difficult to ovulate, this simple routine can help extensively.

About the ingredients to be used:

Dates

What are Dates?

Dates are sweet fruits of date palm tree scientifically known as Phoenix dactylifera. They are one of the best versatile foods that can regulate the digestive process and have gained popularity in recent times. Date palm trees are cultivated all over the world especially across tropical regions. You can also use date molasses, a natural sweetener made from date syrup, in your smoothies or desserts in place of sugar.

The Institute of Medicine recommends an intake of 25-38 grams of dietary fiber per day, which can be high fiber, supplied through high fiber foods like dates. It is also said that consuming these dried fruits can promote eye health and may be effective in guarding against vision problems like night blindness. Medjool dates, in particular, are one of the popular varieties that have many benefits.

The massive health benefits associated with dates have made them one of the best ingredients for muscle development, brain health, regularity, and more.

Ginger:

Health Benefits

Historically, ginger has a long tradition of being very effective in alleviating symptoms of gastrointestinal distress. In herbal medicine, ginger is regarded as an excellent carminative (a substance which promotes the elimination of intestinal gas) and intestinal spasmolytic (a substance which relaxes and soothes the intestinal tract). Modern scientific research has revealed that ginger possesses numerous therapeutic properties including antioxidant effects, an ability to inhibit the formation of inflammatory compounds, and direct anti-inflammatory effects.

Gastrointestinal Relief

A clue to ginger’s success in eliminating gastrointestinal distress is offered by recent double-blind studies, which have demonstrated that ginger is very effective in preventing the symptoms of motion sickness, especially seasickness. In fact, in one study, ginger was shown to be far superior to Dramamine, a commonly used over-the-counter and prescription drug for motion sickness. Ginger reduces all symptoms associated with motion sickness including dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and cold sweating.

Safe and Effective Relief of Nausea and Vomiting During Pregnancy

Ginger’s anti-vomiting action has been shown to be very useful in reducing the nausea and vomiting of pregnancy, even the most severe form, hyperemesis gravidarum, a condition which usually requires hospitalization. In a double-blind trial, ginger root brought about a significant reduction in both the severity of nausea and number of attacks of vomiting in 19 of 27 women in early pregnancy (less than 20 weeks). Unlike anti vomiting drugs, which can cause severe birth defects, ginger is extremely safe, and only a small dose is required.

A review of six double-blind, randomized controlled trials with a total of 675 participants, published in the April 2005 issue of the journal, Obstetrics and Gynecology, has confirmed that ginger is effective in relieving the severity of nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. The review also confirmed the absence of significant side effects or adverse effects on pregnancy outcomes.

Brown sugar

Brown sugar is a type of sugar (sucrose) that gains a brown color due to the presence of molasses Brown sugar can either be commercially or naturally produced, with the former made by molasses being added to traditional white sugar, composing between 4% and 7% of the final product.

When it comes to nutrition, brown sugar offers only slightly more nutrients than white sugar.  It contains calcium, potassium, iron, and magnesium, and a high concentration of carbohydrates, more than 97% by weight. A single teaspoon of this sugar delivers 17 calories.

Brown Sugar Benefits

The unique health benefits of brown sugar include its ability to boost energy levels, prevent cold, treat uterine infections, improve digestion, reduce flatulence, and aid in weight loss, just to name a few. Let us discuss them in detail below.

Menstrual Cramps

In traditional medicine, some cultures have blended this variety of sugar and ginger into a healthy tea that can eliminate the discomfort of menstrual cramps.

Energy Booster

Like any other simple carbohydrate, this sugar does have an energizing effect on the body, making it a popular addition to morning coffee.

Obesity

Eating an excessive amount of this sugar variety isn’t a good idea, but molasses is known to boost the metabolism and satiate hunger, which could help in weight loss efforts.

Pregnancy

Following delivery of your baby, this sugar has been linked to helping speed the recovery, while also relieving some of the cramps and discomfort during pregnancy.
